Golden State finishes off Dallas, NBA fans overjoyed!

Well, the Dallas Mavericks are gone from the playoffs and I could not be any happier. It's what the fans of Dallas, as well as Mark Cuban deserve. It was great seeing the Mavericks go down in flames, with Dirk Nowitzki having a usual playoff game for him -- he disappeared. He had three good minutes in the entire series, and that was all. At least his stats during the year count for Fantasy teams.

However, Mark Cuban should be proud of himself. He's effectively built what Geoff Petrie built several years ago in Sacramento. A team that cannot win when it matters. Great regular seasons, but not the tools to win in crunch time. Chris Webber could not come through for the Kings, and Dirk cannot come through for Dallas. After this year, do not be surprised if we see a decline in the team, much like we did after Webber went down in the Mavericks series some years ago. It takes a long time for teams to recover from things like this. The Mavericks best opportunity to win was to keep Steve Nash, however that opportunity passed some 3 years ago.

Lastly, although no one heard what Mark Cuban uttered towards the TNT camera after the game, but it was not kind.

Speaking of words, Mark Cuban needs to eat his words on the Dwayne Wade subject. This series has clearly shown why Dallas did not win the championship last year and will not this year. Dirk Nowitzki is not the leader that Dwayne Wade is and Dirk is the reason they lost. He disappears in crunch time, plain and simple.
