Fixed! Wii Problems Requiring Service

This post is one of several on how to fix problems with your Nintendo Wii. To see the entire list, click here for the Nintendo Wii Repair Guide.

It can be very frustrating when your Nintendo Wii is not functioning as expected. Especially when you are in the middle of an important game or battle! In some cases, the problems you experience may require immediate service by Nintendo in order to restore your Wii to operating excellence.

Because of this, most of the issues below will require you to contact Nintendo Wii service. Unfortunately, you will not be able to manually repair them through many common techniques.

If your Wii needs repair, please call Nintendo support at 1-800-255-3700 to discuss available options.

Here is the list of known error messages that will require immediate repair:

  1. Nintendo Wii console will not accept discs or even discs immediately eject the disc (including "An error has occurred eject disc" message)
  2. "Insert Startup Disc" Error Message. Unfortunately the Wii does not have a good recovery feature or an original disc that you can put in. This requires service service.
