I had red vertical line on my Toshiba Regza Z3030D 47" and this trick worked for me! Thank you so much!

Did this red line come because of stuck pixels? I noticed that it was located right where my desktop backround ends and black area starts.

Incredible, I took your advice and it worked. My Vizio 32" tv had a thin blue horizontal line that just appeared, I thought for sure i'd be looking for a new tv. I first tapped the screen itself no good I then tapped the frame no good, I then gave it a good smack on the back directly behind the line and presto it disappeared. Thanks for the assist..

Had the same issue with a "purple line" running vertical, probably 10-15 pixels inside where the SD/HD aspect cut off is.

Mine had been like that for 2 or 3 months but would always seem to go away after it heated up.

I tapped it and nothing happened, tapped the plastic border, nothing. Then I tapped back where the line was and it was gone.

that was amazing. i tried tapping the lcd screen itself and didn't work but then tapped the plastic part bordering the lcd screen and after a couple taps (not hard) it started flickering different colors and then disappeared! who knows if it will come back. at least its gone for now. until i can convince my wife for a new tv. lol. thank you! good luck!
