Hidden Mickey: Disneyland: Tomorrowland: Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

On our trip to Disneyland last week, we found a new Hidden Mickey that we had not seen before. This Hidden Mickey was found at one of my favorite rides, the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in Tomorrowland. The interesting thing is that we had been told there were several Hidden Mickeys inside the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride, but we had not been able to find any.

Where did we find this Hidden Mickey?

Ashley gets credit for finding it, but we were rushing through after we got our FastPass for Buzz Lightyear. As you walk through the 2nd room that has Buzz Lightyear inside of it, there is a glass pane with some etching on it as you exit the room. If you look at the etching (which says "Green Planet" next to it) you see a spaceship.

Look very closely at the ship and if you are facing it on the right side there are three swirls inside the spaceship that form a Hidden Mickey Mouse. You can also see this Hidden Mickey from the backside of the glass by looking at the left side of the picture.

This is one of the harder to find Hidden Mickeys. Have you seen it before? Let me know with a comment!

Hidden Mickey: Disneyland: Entrance: Signage Post

One of the newer Hidden Mickey's that we have been spotted at Disneyland is the signage post in the entrance area of the Disneyland Theme Park in Anaheim, California. While not truly "Hidden" this sign pole design mixes a number of variations of the Hidden Mickeys in the design.

Make sure you look for it on your next visit!

Ultimate Hidden Mickey Guide

Given our family's passion for Disney and the all of the Disney Parks, we have seen our fair share of the famous “Hidden Mickey Mouse” that you find in many of the parks and several of the rides within the park. Many families and visitors to the Disney Resorts (Disneyland, Disney World) have turned it into a fun game to find Hidden Mickeys.

Do you look for the Hidden Mickeys? We do.

However, in our family it has become much more than a simple game! It is not only an adventure for us, but has developed to the level of a competition where family members email each other photos of Hidden Mickeys that other family members have found. Given our great passion for the Hidden Mickey, I am devoting a section of my blog to document our Hidden Mickey Adventures.

Interested in the Hidden Mickeys we have found or are aware of? Click below for more:

Hidden Mickey: California Adventure: Tower of Terror

On a recent trip to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure my nephews and niece spotted a new Hidden Mickey that they had not seen before. I must admit, neither Ashley nor myself have spotted it yet. In fact, we have not seen many Hidden Mickeys in the California Adventure park.

However, this one is clearly both a Hidden Mickey and a clever one like this. This particular Hidden Mickey is in one of my favorite rides, the Hollywood Hotel - Tower of Terror. A ride that takes you through the "Twilight Zone" adventure and drops you down an elevator shaft.

After you go through the video that introduces you to the ride and the experience you are about to have, you enter a waiting area. If you are lucky enough to be on the right side where they split the line into two lines. This is because it will take you upstairs where this hidden Mickey is!

Once you arrive upstairs, look above the elevator waiting area at the Hollywood Hotel's Tower of Terror and you will see three lights that make a Hidden Mickey! Look below for the picture.

Hidden Mickey: Disneyland: New Orleans Square: Pirates of the Caribbean: Barrels

Hidden Mickeys at Disneyland are a very exciting sight and can downright be addicting to try and find all kinds of Hidden Mickeys. This is another in the series this month that will detail a good number of the Hidden Mickeys in the Disneyland and California Adventure Parks.

This particular Hidden Mickeys is one that you might consider to be questionable. I know that I have seen it a million times and I am still not convinced that it is. However, a lot of folks that I speak to consider this to be a Hidden Mickey at Disneyland. So it must be, right?

Where is it? Well it is in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride in one of the very last rooms where all of the fires are burning around the docks. What you see are groups of priates shooting at each other across the water just before you go by Captain Jack Sparrow's room where he sits with the treasure. As you pass under the soldiers, look up to the right and you will see three barrels hanging from the ceiling by a rope in the shape of the Hidden Mickey. All three are the exact size, thus creating the question as to whether it is a true Hidden Mickey or not.

Have you seen this Hidden Mickey and do you think it should be considered one? If so, let me know below with a comment!

No picture of this one yet, however I plan to get one on my next trip to Disneyland this summer!

Hidden Mickey: Disneyland: Mickey & Friends: Daisy Level

Hidden Mickeys at Disneyland are a very exciting sight. This is another in the series this month that will detail a good number of the Hidden Mickeys in the Disneyland and California Adventure Parks.

An often unexpected place to see Hidden Mickeys is in the Mickey & Friends Parking structure. Other than being one of the best designed parking structures in the world, there are also Hidden Mickeys there! Anyone who has wandered the parking lot for any amount of time realize how immense its size is. With all of the circles in the finish for the cement work, you would think there would have to be a Hidden Mickey somewhere. And there is!

To see this Hidden Mickey, go to the Daisy level of the Mickey & Friend parking structure. From there, check out the unnumbered cement poles between 3A & 3B, underneath an Emergency sign. That's right, a Hidden Mickey in the cement.
